Declarations Day Visit Procedures

Pending approval of your declaration, your organization may be invited to bring 10 people to the Governor's office for the signing of your declaration

What to Expect on Declaration Day:

  • Please have your entire group arrive no sooner than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment .
  • Your time with the Governor will last approximately four to five minutes.
  • There will be other groups waiting to see the Governor so there may be a short wait.

Photography & Press:

  • Please do not bring personal cameras.
  • The Governor's aide will take a group picture with our office camera.
  • Go to www.governor.utah.gov/photos to download your picture.
  • Press is your responsibility. If you have planned on having press at this signing, I need to know as soon as possible.
  • Press may attend in addition to your group of 10 people.

Directions to the Governor's Office:

  • We are in the East (right-side) building behind the State Capitol (300 N. State Street).
  • Turn left into the Visitors parking lot and go down a slight hill. There will be a security gate, but it should be open.
  • At the entrance to the East building make your way through the dining area into a large foyer.
  • From the foyer, walk up either side of the double staircase (an elevator is also available).
  • Go to Suite 220 (Governor’s Office), which is right at the top of the stairs
  • Call 801-538-1000 if you need additional directions.
