Individual schools are encouraged to learn, participate and perform the music program for family and community in the time leading up to and during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Local productions of the program provide students the opportunity to share their talents and take part in the spirit and the excitement of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

In preparation for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and Paralympics, many communities are planning special events leading up to and during the Games. These events may be enhanced with local school children and/or youth singing or performing music selections of Light the Fire Within™.

Schools, classes and groups are encouraged to register on-line if they are interested in performing for local or state special events leading up to the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Schools may register on the Event's Page. As the program office is notified of special local performance opportunities, those groups having registered will be offered priority.

For further Olympic-related performances please send the program office a videotape of your group performing the Light the Fire Within™ program in its entirety or selections of the program by Thursday, November 1, 2001.
