Global Olympic Sites

The Olympic Information Center is part of the Amateur Athletic Foundation which houses  one of the world's largest collections of materials pertaining to the Olympic Games.  The site provides access to Official Reports (in adobe acrobat); early Winter games  photographs; details on books about the Olympics; information on art and sport; an  Olympic Primer; facts about future Olympic cities and a page of games for children  (and adults) testing Olympic knowledge. http://www.aafla.org/OlympicInformationCenter/OlympicInformationCenter.htm

The official site of the Olympic Movement appears in both French and English.  Pages on the Olympic family (the International Olympic Committee, IOC; National  Olympic Committees, NOC; International Sports Federations, IF and the Organizing  Committee of the Olympic Games, OCOG); the past games (since 1924); an Olympic  Museum; future games (2000 - 2004); a retrospective (on Nagano and Atlanta) and  Olympic partners (official sponsors) are included. The site has a searchable  index and site map to aid navigation, but requires Java to be enabled on your  browser. It can also be slow to download, but is worth the wait.

The Olympic Studies Centre manages the International Chair in Olympism which was created  in 1995 by agreement between Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the International  Olympic Committee. The website reflects the objectives of the chair, which are "to promote  research, education and the dissemination of the Olympic Movement's ideals at university  level". A directory of international research, the proceedings of the 1998 Olympia Internet  Seminar and access to a wealth of information on topics including: Olympic education; forums  on Olympism and sport; and adapted sport and paralympics are accessible via the home page.

Olympic Committees, by Country

The International Olympic Committee website contains information on National Olympic Committees from around the world, which can be selected from a searchable graphic of the globe. Many National  Olympic Committee pages include details about the country's Olympic team; the structure and organization  of that Olympic Committee; contact details and information about Olympic officials, and other information  about the Olympics in relation to that country.
