The purpose of this section is for the county to articulate its broad policy and position statements about resource management.
These statements should relate to the major issues listed in the “Existing Management Setting” section. The more specific, resource-related issues will be addressed in the “Resource Planning” sections.

Policy / Position Statements
Steps and Considerations in Creating Policy / Position Statements
Consideration should be given to each policy's accompanying goal & objectives, as well as how it will be monitored. Doing this will further strengthen the policy and lead to its implementation.
Policy / position statements should be formally adopted by the county, and therefore should be developed through a public process.
These statements should be communicated to the public and the various land management agencies.
