Bill Schlotthauer called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. Jay Pitkin made a motion to correct the minutes on page three, under Anticipated Projects and Information "initiates" should read "initiatives." Kimm Harty made a motion to approve the May 8 minutes as amended. Mike Canning seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
II. Anticipated Projects and Information
Federal Agencies have been contacted in regards to updating the MOUs.
A memo from Leah Ann Lamb regarding information needed for Energy Pre-Design was reviewed. See Attachment.
Edie Trimmer reported that a grant for the Native Plants Project was approved.
III. Agenda Items
Agenda item 872 was discussed.
IV. Adjournment
There being no further business to bring before the Committee, Bill Schlotthauer, Chair, adjourned the meeting at 9:35 a.m.

SUBJECT: Basic Information Needed For Energy Pre-Design
I have compiled a DRAFT list of basic information we'd like energy projects to compile before we have a pre-design meeting. Please review the list and let me know if any questions need to be reworded or if you have any other questions you need added to this preliminary list. Please e-mail me your response because it is easier for me to keep track of comments. Thanks for your help.
Project Description
- What type of power plant will you build? What is its fuel source? How much power will it
generate? Do you have transmission capacity?
-Who are the owners/operators? To whom will the power be sold?
Project Location/Size
- Where is the project located? How many acres are involved? Is any state, federal, or tribal land
involved?
- How many people will eventually be employed by the power plant?
Air Emissions
-Please estimate the plants air emissions by pollutant type
Water Source and Discharge
- How much water will your plant use for power generation and drinking water for employees?
- Where will you get water for the plant an existing municipal system? Or will you have to supply your own? Do you have the water rights for this water?
-Do you have plans to insure no cross-connections occur? (Back flow prevention)
- Will you connect to an existing sewer system or install your own? What is your estimated discharge volume to a sewer system?
- Will you discharge water into a surface stream or impoundment? What is the quality and quantity of discharged water?
Storage Tanks
- Will your plant have below or above ground storage tanks?
Solid and Hazardous Waste
- How will you dispose of solid waste?
- Will you have on-site any hazardous substances? In what quantity?
- Do you have or need an EPA identification number?
Radioactive Materials
- Will you have any radioactive materials/equipment on-site?
Stream Crossings/ Wetlands Impacts/Flood Zones
- Will any part of your project cross a river or stream?
- Will any part of your project cross or fill a wetland?
- Will any part of your project be located in a floodplain?
Cultural Resources
- Have you completed a cultural resource inventory for the site?
Threatened and Endangered Species
- Have you completed a survey to see if your project site contains any threatened or endangered
species?
Stack Height
- How tall will your stacks be.. .will you need a permit from the FAA?
Local permits
- Have you identified the applicable local permits you will need?
