Governor Herbert Appoints Dale to Second District Court

SALT LAKE CITY – Governor Gary R. Herbert has selected Robert J. Dale to serve as a district court judge in the state’s Second Judicial District.

“Robert will be tremendous judge,” Governor Herbert said. “He takes the bench after an impressive legal career and brings with him a sincere desire to provide public service.”

Mr. Dale is a shareholder at the law firm of Fabian & Clendenin. His current areas of practice include real property, commercial, construction, contract and banking litigation. He has been named one of Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business magazine.

The Second Judicial District serves Davis, Morgan and Weber counties. Mr. Dale has been selected to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of 2nd District Judge Rodney Page.

Mr. Dale has a juris doctorate from the University of Utah College of Law. He is a former member of the Layton City Utah Planning Commission, former co-chair of the Utah State Institutional Trust Lands Nominating Committee and former member of the Utah Wildlife Federation’s board of directors.

The Governor’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Utah State Senate.
