Public Hearing Planned for Governor Herbert’s 10-Year Strategic Energy Plan

WHAT: Will accept public comment on the draft report of the Utah Energy Initiative, a 10-year strategic energy plan for the State of Utah. The full draft report, as well as additional information about the Initiative, is available online at <a href=””></a> under the tab “Governor’s Energy Plan.” Governor Gary R. Herbert announced the Utah Energy Initiative in his 2010 State of the State address, saying: “I am assembling the best minds in the state and charging them with creating a 10-year strategic energy plan whose purpose is threefold: to ensure Utah’s continued access to our own clean and low-cost energy resources; to be on the cutting edge of new energy technologies; and to foster economic opportunities and create more jobs.”
