The Utah Key Economic Performance Indicators (KEPI) document is a monthly briefing on the state of the economy prepared by Governor Herbert’s staff.
The latest KEPI shows that Utah’s economy is expanding at a gradual pace. The level of employment is increasing, the unemployment rate has retreated from its peak, preliminary estimates show that FY 2011 state revenue collections were higher than anticipated, economic development and international trade continue to grow, foreclosure rates are retreating, and home price declines are becoming smaller. The recovery in Utah is certainly measured, yet our State continues to maintain its position as one of the top economic performers in the country.
