Governor Offers Condolences to Family of Fallen Soldier

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert was notified last night about the death of U.S. Army First Sergeant Tracy L. Stapley on July 3, 2013, in Doha, Qatar. The Governor has issued the following statement:

“Jeanette and I join the people of Utah and express our heartfelt prayers and thoughts for the Stapley family as together we mourn the loss of First Sergeant Tracy Stapley, a beloved son, husband and father.  As the nation just celebrated our independence, may we always remember and honor those who have lived and died for the cause of freedom.”

First Sergeant Stapley was assigned to the 308th Medical Logistics Company, U.S. Army Reserve, St. George, Utah.
