Gov. Herbert to sign Land Exchange at first annual Governor’s Outdoor Recreation Summit

What: To kickoff the first annual Governor’s Outdoor Recreation Summit, Gov. Gary R. Herbert, the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA), and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will finalize the largest exchange of Utah land in over a decade. The deal signifies a win-win for recreation, development and public schools in Utah, and involves 60,000 acres in Uintah, Grand and San Juan counties.
The Office of Outdoor Recreation will host the annual summit to explore and share new ways to responsibly grow outdoor business while promoting and enhancing Utah’s flourishing recreation economy.
