Gov. Herbert, Utah students to take part in ‘Hour of Code’ to Kick Off Computer Science Education Week

What:
Gov. Gary R. Herbert will participate with local students in the “Hour of Code,” a nationwide initiative organized by nonprofit Code.org designed to encourage students of all ages to devote an hour to computer science education. The governor will also declare Dec. 8-12 as Computer Science Education Week in Utah.

Gov. Herbert will join with the Utah Technology Council and Farmington-based Pluralsight to demonstrate a statewide commitment to helping Utah’s youth prepare for high-demand STEM jobs and to show students that anyone can learn to code.
