Apply for an Internship
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR – Fall 2020 Internships
The Office of the Governor is seeking interns for fall 2020.
At the Governor’s Office, interns gain a wide variety of professional experiences and a unique perspective into state government, public service, and the duties of the governor and his staff.
Internships will take place during the fall semester, generally starting mid-August and ending in early December. During the fall semester, interns are exposed to a variety of events such as weekly cabinet meetings, press conferences, and the beginning of the legislative process.
We seek outstanding applicants with excellent writing, teamwork, and organizational skills. Internships may be completed for academic credit. The following internships are available for fall semester: general, communications, and constituent services.
Internships are paid at $12 hr. An hourly commitment of up to 20 hours per week is required. Schedules can be flexible; however, interns must be present on the days and times agreed upon.
No specific major or field of study is required. All applications are reviewed and considered.
To apply, please send a cover letter, resumé, unofficial college transcript, and writing sample (two pages maximum) to Celeste Winegar, firstname.lastname@example.org. Students will be contacted if chosen for an interview.
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until Friday, July 17, 2020.
*NOTICE: Due to COVID-19, the terms of internships are possibly subject to change. Despite the pandemic, our office remains committed to providing a comprehensive professional and political experience for interns.*
