Some highlights from this news conference include:
- Over the past several months we have experienced a significant increase in testing demand. We’ve added 238 new staff between the UDOH and Test Utah teams, nine mobile test teams, 12 additional testing sites, and 169 additional testing hours each week.
- Next Monday, we will begin piloting a Test to Travel program. Our testing site at the Cannon Health Building will have a dedicated testing lane for travelers. This location will have rapid antigen, rapid PCR, and PCR tests.
- PEHP — the Public Employee Health Plan — will soon be offering financial incentives to state employees and their family members for being vaccinated.
- We must continue to be vigilant with our water use or water supply conditions next year will be worse.
