Some highlights from this news conference include:

• When it comes to transgender youth, we believe both sides of this delicate topic have come together in good faith to find a reasonable solution. We remain hopeful that a compromise is close that will protect the integrity of women’s sports and respect the lives of our transgender youth.
• Protecting the Great Salt Lake is a priority for us. Helicopter pilots are using flights to meet training requirements from the National Guard. It’s not costing taxpayers a single dime more. And the reaction has been stunning, creating new allies in ways pictures can’t.
• We owe our teachers a debt of gratitude, especially for the amazing job they’ve been doing the past couple of years. We’re monitoring all education bills very closely.
• We’ve had discussions with the Outdoor Retailer Show. We know they are interested in returning to Utah, and we welcome them if that’s what they choose.
