Some highlights from this briefing include:

  • The Utah Poison Control Center‘s COVID-19 hotline — which is available 24/7 to answer your questions — hit an important milestone: They received their 200,000th call.
  • We believe that around  89,431 of the 157,925 vaccines that were shipped to us have been administered.
  • We’re accelerating the timeline for immunizing teachers.
  • We will open vaccinations for ages 70 and up starting Monday, Jan. 18. 
  • Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson will visit with local health departments to learn how the state can best support their efforts.
