Nominees announced for Utah Court of Appeals vacancy

SALT LAKE CITY (May 14, 2021) — The Appellate Judicial Nominating Commission has selected nominees for a vacancy on the Utah Court of Appeals.  The vacancy results from the retirement of Judge Mary Kate Appleby, January 1, 2021. Gov. Cox names acting state treasurer

Former Senate President Wayne Niederhauser to serve as state homeless services coordinator

SALT LAKE CITY (April 13, 2021) — Gov. Spencer Cox announced former Utah Senate President Wayne Niederhauser as his choice to serve as the new state homeless services coordinator. As outlined in HB 347, this position serves as the chief administrative officer of the Office of Homeless Services.  “During his legislative career, Wayne did not shy away from helping to
