Child & Family Well-being: Improve health outcomes for children, particularly those in poverty.
Behavioral Health: Expand mental health services and infrastructure.
Health Access: Increase affordable healthcare availability, especially in rural areas.
Housing & Homelessness: Provide stable housing and reduce homelessness.
Drug Safety: Work to reduce drug-related deaths.
Metrics
Achieve measurable goals such as reducing rural healthcare shortages, increasing positive childhood experiences, and expanding mental health facilities by 2029.
Goal 2. Place.
Neighborhoods and communities where the American Dream thrives.
Build neighborhoods and communities where the American Dream thrives by creating sustainable, innovative, and culturally rich spaces for all. This focus includes enhancing infrastructure, safety, and environmental stewardship.
Housing & Infrastructure: Build 150,000 new homes, including 35,000 starter homes by 2029.
Transportation & Safety: Improve mobility and safety, aiming for a 10% increase in safety by 2029.
Energy & Environment: Double Utah’s power production, improve energy resilience, and implement water efficiency.
Recreation & Water:Expand access to parks and reduce water use through sustainable practices.
Metrics
Milestones include completing major infrastructure projects, increasing recreational access, and improving water system resilience by 2029.
Goal 3. Prosperity.
An economy that celebrates entrepreneurs. rural Utah, education and the spirit of service.
Build an economy that fosters entrepreneurship, supports rural Utah, values education, and upholds a spirit of service by focusing on education, workforce development, and economic innovation.
Education & Workforce Development:Increase access to early childhood education, boost postsecondary readiness, and reskill adults for high-demand jobs.
Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Increase new business startups by 50% by 2029 and invest in rural infrastructure.
Service & Community: Strengthen Utah’s tradition of service through increased youth and community involvement.
Metrics
Ambitious targets include raising the percentage of high school graduates with postsecondary credentials, doubling preschool participation, and expanding service opportunities for youth and young adults by 2029.
