Max Gruber serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Governor Cox, helping mobilize statewide projects across the executive branch. Prior to his time as Director of Strategic Initiatives, Max worked as the Communications and Strategy Coordinator on the executive team in the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget, where he helped build the Governor's Fiscal Year 2025 budget recommendations.
Before joining the State of Utah, Max served as a wildland firefighter with the US Forest Service. Max holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and political science from the University of Utah Honors College.
