The Utah we want
Utahns care deeply about protecting the quality of life that makes our state exceptional. While many appreciate the benefits that come with growth, we don’t want to lose what sets Utah apart — our strong sense of community, family values, robust economic opportunity, and unparalleled recreation.
Utah’s collaborative approach to problem-solving is critical to ensuring our long-term success. We must be intentional about the kind of Utah we want and commit to working together to address these interrelated issues.
By planning wisely, we have the opportunity to shape growth in a way that ensures Utah remains a great place to live for current and future generations.
Build Coordinating Council
The purpose of the BUILD Coordinating Council is to align long-range planning efforts across state agencies and all levels of government. This new council brings together cabinet members and community leaders to take a comprehensive look at the future we want for Utah and how we can get there together.
Statewide alignment and coordinated planning help stakeholders row in the same direction, maximizing impact, leveraging resources and avoiding duplication.
We’re always looking for ways to improve how government works. The BUILD Coordinating Council is another example of our commitment to doing things better and keeping Utah the best place to live, work and raise a family.
