SALT LAKE CITY (April 29, 2021) — Click here to watch this week’s COVID-19 briefing.

ASL interpretation is provided. Traducción al español en Univision 32.

Some highlights from this briefing include:

  • We’ve administered 2,124,832 doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
  • J&J is back, in case you missed it. For many Utahns, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is the best vaccine. A single dose gives us the best chance of vaccinating people who are hard to reach by geography, those who are hard to reach because of personal schedules, those who might be less likely to return for a second shot, and even those who don’t like needles.
  • Since March, we have seen continued growth in vaccinations in our multicultural communities.
  • We have more than 900,000 Utahns fully immunized against COVID-19. We are marching onto 30%. We still have a long way to go to reach herd immunity.
  • Beginning today, organizations – whether they’re businesses, employers, community-based organizations, church groups, etc… can go to Coronavirus.utah.gov and can request to host their own FREE mobile vaccination clinic.
